Open since October, the Southern Food and Beverage Museum’s Culinary Library & Archive contains over 11,000 cookbooks and works on nutrition and other food- and beverage-related subjects.
True, one cannot borrow this library’s books, but, any weekday, one can visit, browse, make copies of recipes, etc. (Presumably, one could obtain some other library’s copy of any particularly intriguing title via using Interlibrary Loan , a service available free-of-charge to anyone with a library card anywhere in the country.)
Some intersesting background information about the library’s post-Katrina re-opening was included in this Deep South article.
