So Many Books, So Little Time

Many of us booklovers periodically complain about the ratio of drek to quality books, and how time-consuming it can be to separate out the wheat from the chaff (as it were).

Earlier this month, National Public Radio blogger Linda Holmes mentioned a more serious complaint. The subject of her blogpost: the depressing fact that no one will ever get around to reading even the best of the many books available.

After reading her essay, you might also enjoy quickly scrolling through the readers’ comments for the interesting nuggets of advice – or disagreements with Holmes’ premise – that you’ll find there.
