Borders Files for Bankruptcy

No surprise here for anyone surfing the biblioblogosphere during the past month or so.

Details are, among other places, at the Washington Post.

The list of closures nation-wide has been posted by the Wall Street Journal. Several stores in the metro-Atlanta area (in addition to the Brookwood store, whose closing was announced several months ago) will close, although other stores here will remain open as Borders hopes to restructure its debt and recover.
