Amazon Now Selling More eBooks Than Printed Books

We note another factoid to the still-unfolding story of the migration of many readers to the habit (or perhaps the experiment?) of reading their books on a screen instead of from printed pages.

Yesterday, juggernaut online bookseller Amazon.com announced its customers’ orders for  electronic books that can be played on its eBook reader, the Kindle, has outstripped its customers’ orders for printed books. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos notes how astonishing this development is “when you consider that we’ve been selling hardcover books for 15 years, and Kindle books for 33 months.”
