He Brakes for Small-Town Libraries

Michael Gorra, an Engish professor at Smith College, and author of The Bells in Their Silence: Travels through Germany and editor of the forthcoming The Portable Conrad, recently posted a reminiscence of his adventures exploring the architecture and histories of small-town libraries in Massachusetts. Gorra’s blogpost includes a slideshow of nine of these gems.
