The Fate of Reading in a Digital Age

Earlier this year, Litwin Books published a new book of interest to booklovers, which librarian blogger (and, in this case, book publisher) Rory Litwin describes as “a rediscovery of the pleasure of reading for its own sake.”  The book is entitled Slow Reading by John Miedema. The author is scheduled to read from the book at an event later this month at the Library of Congress.

The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library hasn’t yet purchased a copy, but you can read blurbs for the book and a sample chapter at the publisher’s website.
