Back before there was an Internet, many adult bibliophiles in the United States would eventually stumble upon what would become their favorite mail-order source for books and book-related gifts, and would subsequently look forward to receiving these companies’ tempting catalogs.
Fortunately, most of these companies migrated to the Internet, making succumbing to the aforementioned tempting offerings even more convenient. (Unfortunately, some of the best mail-order firms didn’t survive very long into the Internet Era: does anybody else fondly remember the The Common Reader, now, alas, defunct?)
Among the survivors catering to the die-hard booklover is ‘the champion of the odd little book, Bas Bleu, headquartered in Ohio since it was established in 1994.
If you’re not already familiar with the company, you may want to give the Bas Bleu website a look-see. We won’t be surprised if you end up bookmarking it, and maybe even signing up to receive the company’s paper catalog.
At the very least, we predict you will see a few titles you might want to borrow from Ye Local Public Library!
